The best fall drink recipes… I’ve collected all the best right here.
To make the list, they’re maple-infused, or pumpkin-laden, or chai-based; they can be served hot or iced; and they’re also medicinal in some way. It is, afterall, the time of year to work at proactively fighting off colds and flus; I’d much rather do it all-naturally when I can.
The best fall drinks
Fall is such a great season… along with the gorgeous fall foliage, bonfires, and cozy sweaters, there are the best fall-inspired drinks… from lattes to a copycat Starbucks Medicine Ball, to a healthy hot chocolate mix, it’s all here.
Bonus: these drinks include organic teas and adaptogens and botanicals as well.
Botanicals to use in fall drinks
Botanicals are natural, medicinal products or supplements that are made directly from plants. They can be made from a plant’s roots, flowers, bark, or leaves. (source)
These botanicals and herbs can help boost immunity and relieve cold and flu symptoms all fall and winter:

NOTES
Another great tea to use for the base of this recipe is Peach Oolong . Substitute for Lemon Pound Cake for a slightly different taste profile.

Toasty Mate Chai
Mate is a caffeine-rich herbal tea that tastes a lot like coffee, and offers medicinal benefits, but without the unwanted jitters and other side effects of coffee.
I am love this Mate Chai tea for a morning or mid-afternoon pick-me-up that’s also a delicious treat. One of my favorite tea companies has combined delicious Mate with subtle amounts of chai spices and then added in vanilla, ginger, and cinnamon. Ahhhh, perfection…
Two (super easy!) ways I love making my Mate Chai Latte and enjoy a better-than-the-coffee-shop latte at home:

1 TB Toasty Mate Chai tea
1 cup water
1 cup hot milk
1 TB maple syrup

Pumpkin Chai Latte Concentrate
I hate to break this to you, but your pumpkin latte from your favorite coffee shop probably has pesticides, toxic levels of sugar, and artificial flavors made with things like petroleum. And maybe zero actual pumpkin.
Instead grab this organic loose leaf Pumkin Chai Tea and make your own at home.
Bonus: not only do you know every ingredient, but you’ll save a boat load of moolah too!
INGREDIENTS
4 TB Pumpkin Chai Tea
2 cup water
3 TB pumpkin puree
4 TB maple syrup
1/2 tsp of cinnamon
DIRECTIONS
- Heat the loose leaf tea in water, bring to boil and reduce heat. Let simmer 3 minutes.
- Strain out tea.
- Mix in rest of ingredients.
- Store in refrigerator until ready to use.
To make an Iced Pumpkin Latte:
Add equal amount of concentrate and cold milk to a glass, top off with a sprinkle of cinnamon and lots of ice and enjoy.
For a Warm Pumpkin Latte:
Heat equal amounts of milk and concentrate over medium heat for 2 minutes or until hot. Pour into your favorite mug, sprinkle on a little cinnamon, and enjoy!
Pumpkin Spiced Latte Creamer
If you’re looking for the most amazing creamer to take any cup of coffee to a whole new level, you can essentially mix up the iced pumpkin latte above, with heavy cream in stead of just milk, and store it in your fridge in bulk. Your coffee has seriously never been so good…
INGREDIENTS
4 TB Pumpkin Chai Tea
2 cups water
1/3 cup pumpkin puree
1/2 cup maple syrup
1 tsp of cinnamon
1 cup heavy cream
DIRECTIONS
- Heat the loose leaf tea in water, bring to boil and reduce heat. Let simmer 3 minutes.
- Strain out tea.
- Mix in rest of ingredients.
- Store in refrigerator until ready to use.
- Add your homemade pumpkin chai creamer to your next cup of coffee (or tea that tastes like coffee) and enjoy!
