Tomato sauce without canning
Ingredients
1
cup
dehydrated tomato powder
1
tsp
dehydrated pepper powder
1/2
tsp
dried basil
2
tsp
oregano
1
tsp
salt
4
tsp
coconut sugar
1
tsp
onion powder
Instructions
Mix all ingredients well.
Spoon into a container with an air-tight seal and keep for up to 1-2 years.
To make sauce, use 1 part tomato mix with 2-4 parts water (less for paste, more for sauce).
Notes
I will use 4-5 TB of the powder, mixed with about 1 cup of hot water, to make enough sauce for one pizza.
I'll use roughly 3 TB of the powder, mixed with 1/2-3/4 cup of hot water, for one plate of pasta.
12 TB of the powder, mixed with about 3 cups of hot water, makes the amount of sauce in a jar you purchase at the store.
