First make your brown butter; in a saucepan over medium/high heat, melt the butter and continue to cook it, stirring frequently, until it foams and you start to see browned bits on the bottom of the pan.
Pour into a cooled bowl and set it aside to cool down some. Ideally, let it cool until it’s firm.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
Beat the cooled butter in a stand mixer with the sugars until it all lightens in color and thickens slightly (2-3 minutes).
Add in the vanilla and eggs, and mix until combined.
Add in the dry ingredients, adding in the chocolate chips once the dough is the desired texture.
Form the dough into balls and place on a tray, leaving room for them to spread slightly..
Bake in your hot oven for 10-12 minutes, until edges are slightly brown.
Cool cookies on the tray for a few minutes after removing from the oven, then move them to a cooking rack. Enjoy!
