Hi Trish! I'm so excited for you to start your fresh milled flour journey!

If you're finding that the flour isn't fine enough you're certainly able to mill it twice. The best way is to first mill your grains into a course meal, then mill it into a fine flour on the second milling.

Hope this helps!

Good morning Michelle. Thank you for your lovely site and all the information it contains. I’m hoping to make delicious bread with fresh milled flour. I think I’ve come to the right place!
My question is, is there any advantage to twice-milling wheat berries? Will it be even finer and better or would it gum up my machine and be terrible? Have you ever done it? Just wondering. (Haven’t even started and already experimenting!)
I bought some nice heritage red and white wheat berries, and I have a flour milling attachment for my Kitchen-Aid as well as a Vitamix with the grain carafe. So I think I’m ready.
