They can be used fresh, but you'll need to adjust the quantities. You normally need a good bit more fresh than dried.

Hi! Thank you for sharing this enlightening information! I have mint and rosemary bushes, do I need to dry the leaves in a food dehydrator before making tea, or can they be used fresh? Thanks, Kate

Thank you so much for this recipe! I've been searching for tea blend recipes using dried herbs. (I'm not the sort to grow my own herbs yet, so I don't use fresh herbs.)
I'll share my own hibiscus tea recipe. I use 3 Tbsp dried hibiscus, 2 t dried peppermint, and 1 t dried stevia to make a half gallon of tea. I just steep the herbs in a small amount of hot water, strain them out and add cold water to fill the half gallon.
Funny story: I used to call this "Healthy Koolaid"....my daughters rebelled and wouldn't drink it. Finally, one or two of them tried and liked it and said the name was why they wouldn't drink it before. I asked what we should call it then. .....the answer? Bridget. So, now this is "Bridget Tea". (Goes well with our salad dressing recipe named Harvey.)
