What fun! My kids would so enjoy it. We make a gingerbread house every year – which often looks like it needs to be condemned. LOL! We have trouble keeping it upright, but love the experience anyway! The extra details you put in – fun!!

We travel a lot and really strive to make it an educational experience for the kids. This has inspired me to create a gingerbread acropolis from our recent trip to greece!! Surely we can handle making a hill, right? LOL!

What a beautiful way to make the best of your Christmas. I’m very sorry for your loss, but am so thankful that you choose to share this with all of us. We also took the year off of gifts. Instead, we choose to spend 3 days and 2 nights at a hotel, just being together as a family. We lost a dear sister, sister-in-law, and auntie this summer in the midst of our summer vacation. We felt the need to re-connect as a little family. Our children are younger than yours, but they all highly enjoyed this Christmas. There is talk of doing it again next year!
