Hello Michelle,
I am so glad that I found you again.
Well, today I finally got around to making the “DIY Coke Recipe.” I substituted Turmeric for minced ginger (I only have ginger pieces) and I used Apple Cider Vinegar instead of white vinegar.
Here’s hoping it turned out okay. Haven’t tasted it yet, but I’m pretty sure it will be great.
I haven’t had soda in at least 20 years. Just couldn’t handle the aftertaste and the extreme sweetness.
I drink Iced Tea with Stevia; as a matter of fact I grew Stevia. Sad news. This winter killed the plant I’ve had for almost eight years.
Or I drink herbal tea. Or I drink hot chocolate (the better brand of chocolate not sold in grocery stores). And let’s not forget homemade lemonade. I also drink juice and 2% milk.

This should be a treat. I posted five stars because so far the mix tasted pretty good when I sampled a tiny bit on a spoon.

I will be printing your other “soda” recipes soon. Thanks again for an alternative to soda.

Our family hasn’t had soda in over a decade. However, my oldest is now out working in the real world and has unfortunately discovered a liking to it. I’ve been on a mission to recreate it, so this recipe will be perfect for that!

I love all your DIY soda syrup recipes. We’re not big soda drinkers just because we’re not in the habit, not because we don’t like it haha. One day I just might get a soda stream and make all your delicious syrups to get away from high fructose corn syrup!

Homemade soda! Something I’ve never tried. Of course I had to check out the root beer recipe since that’s my favorite. Just imagine—a root beer float with homemade root beer AND homemade ice cream! Win-win! And I never knew there was such a thing as making your own seltzer water!
